Benjamin Pedersen is a distinguished Danish-American racing driver, born on May 11, 1999, in Copenhagen, Denmark. Emigrating to the United States at the age of 4, Pedersen’s racing journey began in karting before he quickly ascended through the American open-wheel ladder.

Pedersen’s early career was marked by consistent success in the F4 United States and F3 Americas championships, where he secured numerous wins and podiums, including a runner-up finish in the 2019 F3 Americas standings. His progression led him to the Indy NXT series, where he spent two productive seasons with Global Racing Group and HMD Motorsports. During this time, he solidified his status as a top-tier prospect, claiming his first series victory at Portland in 2022 and finishing in the top five of the championship standings in consecutive years.

In 2023, Benjamin made his highly anticipated debut in the NTT IndyCar Series with A.J. Foyt Racing. His rookie season was highlighted by a standout performance at the historic Indianapolis 500, where he qualified as the fastest rookie and was subsequently named the Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year. This achievement underscored his ability to handle the immense pressure and technical demands of the world’s most famous race.
